Privacy Policy
Selfora (the "App") is an entertainment and wellness application that uses AI to analyze a selfie you choose to submit, return a fun "glow" score, generate a personalized daily routine, and create a "Future You" image — an AI-edited version of your own selfie that imagines how you could look after staying consistent. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We do not sell your personal information.
1. What we collect
- Selfies you choose to upload. When you tap "Take photo" or "Import from photos", the photo is sent to our servers (Cloudflare Workers) and forwarded to Google Gemini for analysis and to fal.ai to generate your "Future You" image. The original selfie and the generated image are stored in our private Cloudflare R2 bucket so the App can show you your results later.
- Anonymous identifiers. We use a RevenueCat-issued anonymous user ID (and, before sign-up, your device's vendor identifier) to keep your scans, routine, streak, and entitlement state attached to your device. This is not your name, email, or phone number.
- Onboarding answers. The choices you make during onboarding (gender option, age range, goals, etc.) are stored on our servers and used to personalize your routine. You can clear them by deleting your account.
- Usage & marketing analytics. We use Mixpanel to record how the App is used (screens viewed, taps, paywall outcomes), and the TikTok Business SDK to measure the performance of ads that may have brought you to the App. These events are tied to the anonymous identifier above.
- Subscription state. RevenueCat manages your Selfora Pro subscription. We receive entitlement status (active / inactive) but never your payment details.
2. What we don't collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- We do not collect your contacts, location, calendar, health data, or browsing history.
- We do not perform face recognition or biometric identification. The AI describes and edits a single image you submit; it never compares your face against any other person or a database, and it is not used to identify you.
3. How we use what we collect
- Generate your glow score, commentary, daily routine, and your "Future You" image.
- Show your scan history, before/after, and progress chart inside the App.
- Run the subscription paywall and respect entitlement state.
- Measure which marketing campaigns work, and detect bugs, crashes, and abuse.
- Improve the App over time using aggregated, non-personal usage stats.
4. The "Future You" image
Your "Future You" image is a synthetic, AI-generated edit of the selfie you submitted. It is an illustrative, motivational visualization for entertainment only — not a prediction, a promise of results, or a medical or cosmetic projection. Results, if any, depend on many factors outside the App's control.
5. Third parties
We share data with these processors only as needed to run the App:
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend (Workers), database (D1), image storage (R2), and cache (KV).
- Google Gemini API — receives your selfie + a non-identifying prompt to generate the analysis and routine. Google's policies apply to that processing.
- fal.ai — receives your selfie + a non-identifying prompt to generate your "Future You" image. fal.ai's policies apply to that processing.
- RevenueCat — manages your anonymous user ID and subscription entitlement.
- Mixpanel — receives anonymous product-usage events.
- TikTok — receives anonymous ad-attribution events via the TikTok Business SDK, subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice (see Section 8).
- Apple — handles billing for in-app purchases.
6. Retention
- Selfies and generated images in our R2 bucket are auto-deleted after 90 days.
- Scan results, onboarding answers, routines, and streaks remain until you delete your account.
- Anonymized analytics events are retained per Mixpanel's and TikTok's standard retention.
7. Your rights
- Delete your account and data. In the App, open Settings → Delete account. This removes your user record, scans, routines, completions, streaks, selfies, and generated images on our side. Action cannot be undone.
- Manage your subscription. Settings → Manage subscription opens Apple's subscription management.
- Restore purchases. Settings → Restore purchases re-checks your Apple ID against RevenueCat.
- Email us at hi@selfora.com for any data-rights request (access, deletion, correction). We respond within 30 days.
8. Tracking & your choice
On first launch the App may ask, via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, for permission to measure ad performance. If you decline, we do not use the device advertising identifier for cross-app attribution, and the App remains fully functional. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
9. Children
Selfora is rated 12+. The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, email us and we will delete the account.
10. Not medical advice
The Selfora analysis, routine, and "Future You" image are for entertainment and general wellness only. They are not a medical, dermatological, or cosmetic diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Consult a qualified professional before making any decisions about your health or appearance.
11. Security
Selfies, generated images, and scan data travel over HTTPS. Our R2 bucket is private and images are served only through short-lived signed links. RevenueCat identifiers are stored in the iOS Keychain. We do not store passwords (the App has no password login).
12. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and change the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
